Yes, we're old enough to have released tape demos. This six song cassette was recorded at Love Juice Laboratories in Riverside, CA. Some copies also filled the additional tape space with a selection of tracks from bands distributed through Camryn's (our drummer at the time) distro. It also included a photocopied 11 x 14 double sided lyric sheet/poster.

The title came from something said by Dave, the engineer of the Sound for the Soulless session. He said "punk rock is the white man's quest for the ultimately soulless music."

I don't want to waste my breath screaming at people who already think like me. I've got to yell at those who don't want to hear it, those who are threatened by my voice. I find it quite upsetting that the only revolution I'll ever see is a bunch of kids running in circles in ritualistic complacency. It's easy to preach punk virtues to a crowd of people with mohawked hair but I've to try to do it when my punk support system isn't there. If not then I'm guilty of punk for fashion's sake, I've got to do all that I can to not make that mistake. I stand here a lampoon of social rebellion. Sneering at cops when they've already passed me and taunting jocks when they're not looking. We hide behind mohawks and catchy slogans pinned to the backs of leather jackets, Fashion is a weak form of protest. We value, style over substance, complacence over change, acceptance over dissent, nostalgia over ideas. I don't want to be guilty of punk for fashion's sake, I've got to do all that I can to not make that mistake.

Driven Out - Out Of Time : Anthology (1995-1999) was released October 17, 2003. The Anthology is a retrospective look at the first five years of the band. It features EVERY Driven Out song ever recorded, including a few tracks that have never been released. The Anthology shows how far we - as a band - have progressed and will put the first five years behind us as we continue with new material.
